Hydrating your body with water during training, at work, school or just when taking a hike in the forest is important for your satisfaction, happiness, and health. A stylish and practical water bottle is everything you need and I have created this list to help you find your next H20 beholder.
I have strived to find unique and cool looking bottles with superior design and functionality. The vast number of great products can be overwhelming and it is difficult to answer the question what is the best water bottle. But, there are a few things you should look for in a good bottle. I like leak-proof, insulated bottles made of safe BPA-free materials and water purifying filters, and you will find several of them in the list below.
Some are simple, some are foldable, and a few are more environmentally friendly than others. The price varies a lot from cheap bottles to more advanced and expensive products. In the end, it all comes down to what you like and for which purpose you need a new cool water bottle.

The Water intake formula
There are many opinions on recommended water intake per day. It depends, for instance, on how much you weigh. Some nutritionists say that if you take your body weight (in kg) and multiply with 0,03, you will find how many liters you need to drink daily.
If you weight is 60 kg, you need 1,8 liters. 70 kg = 2,1 liters, 80 = 2,4 liters etc.
Also, remember that you get a decent amount of water from vegetables, fruits, and food you eat. Some of the products in this list have infusers built in which means you can add fruits for better taste. Pretty clever and is a must-have in your cool gear collection.

As someone who enjoys hiking and trekking in the summer, I have really enjoyed your post as it explained different water bottles(something every hiker needs).
Buying water bottles may sound easy but when one wants quality, then not every water bottle is made the same, I personally prefer water bottles with more functionality than anything else, designs although important is secondary to me.
Another thing I do really look out for is purifying possibility and insulation, no need carrying a water bottle around to find that after few hours, the water is too warm to drink.
I like that you did not only recommend bottle but also explained how much water one needs for a certain weight.
The glass factory bottle looks great and the price tag acceptable too.The thermos Filtration is another must have especially for those living in places with chlorine.

I didn’t realize there were so many different types of drinking bottles out there. I do like the Thermos Filtration bottle and I like the ones with the fruit infusers as well. I put fruit in my water quite often. I found the collapsible ones were interesting. Thank you for providing the formula to figure out how much water we need to drink I often wondered if I was getting enough.

I was just looking for water bottles for my children. They drink in plastic bottles, and it is not really practical! Also, plastic bottles release some chemical, thus it is not healthy at all!
I love the look of these bottles, but for my children, I would choose the thermos filtration bottle or the cirkul one! Before I buy them I would like my kids to see them because, at the end of the day, they are the one who will use the bottles:)

Some of these are really neat. I’m in the market for a new one but I don’t think I would get another stainless steel one.
I have a Jeez Classic which has a custom paint-job and after a year or so the paint started stripping off on certain parts.
The Healthy Human water bottle looks good but I also like the Dopper bottle, very smart design. Are the Dopper bottles made of plastic?

Wow, great post. Some of these water bottles look beautiful and the level of design that has gone into some is truly impressive. That said, I’m a big fan of the more straightforward Sigg but the only thing that puts me off is that if I fell back onto the bottle when skiing, it could cause an injury. This has happened before! But I do prefer the way the water keeps its taste. Do you know which out of the plastic bottles are meant to keep the taste purer for longer?
Hi! Thanks! Glad you liked the post. I like the Sigg aluminium bottle too. BPA free plastic bottles tend to have better taste than cheaper plastic bottles. For instance Dopper Water Bottle, Embrava and Nalgene On-the-Fly Bottle is good choices here.
Price level is also an issue. Cheaper bottles taste more plastic than those that are more costly.

There are so many choices for water bottles, I have been searching for the perfect one for my wife. First off, I have to say that Oko water bottle that filters the color out of Coke is just insane. That is a really cool video. I hear so much about Thermo Flask and they seem to be a really hot brand right now. I am kind of leaning toward the Lifefactory Glass water bottle, it’s very classic. Do you know if the stainless steel bottles are easy to clean, or what is the best way to clean them? I would think they can not go in the dishwasher, but I don’t know that for sure. I am definitely looking for something that is easy to clean. Thanks for sharing this review, there are a lot of options out there.

Here is my advice on cleaning stainless steel bottles: Check if they are dishwater safe. Painted bottles, and vacuum installed bottles should be hand washed. Warm soapy water and a bottle brush is perfect. Always check the manufacturers advice on how to get the bottle clean.

It is difficult to say which one I that is my personal favorite… I depends on usage. Many time a plain aluminum bottle like the one from SIGG does the job of transporting water perfectly.

For the newtonstein intellishake, how does all of that stuff fit in there? I don’t see the space for those items such as keys and so forth so maybe there is a better pic that’s works better? The benefits listed are great and caught my eye overall. I suppose I could do the glass as Good quality one too

I must admit I am surprised at how many different water bottles are on the market these days.
The Coldest Water Bottle caught my attention and will be stocking stuffers for my children.
Stainless Steel, and BPA free materials, with a vacuum sealed double wall are a must.
Do you find that water tastes better with stainless steel bottles?
I also like the Bubi Bottle. Does the Silicone alter the integrity of the water? My youngest does not like plastic tasting water…who does? lol

Hi! Thanks for the comment Edwin! The taste of water is of course very important when dealing with water bottles. I find that glass bottles keep the best water taste, and steel bottles second. Whenever possible I try to chose glass or steel before plastic. When it comes to durability steel and plastic will probably last longer than glass. Glass is more fragile and naturally breaks more easy.
I see that people using the Bubi Bottle doesn’t complain about plastic taste. No taste and smell at all, so it should be safe to give to your youngest daughter. 🙂 Andreas

I always have a hard time drinking enough water. I find that adding some flavor like lemon or lime helps me a lot. Sometimes I just water drops and other times I simply put in a couple slices of lemon or lime.
I have been using bottled water but want to switch to reusable water bottles as it is better for the environment and my health. So thanks for sharing this article.

Andreas this is an amazing site presenting such a wide array of water bottles. I was so surprised that there were so many variations of water bottles. I like the one which also acts as a torch and the one that has GPS included. I was lost in the bush once and the police had to be called to find me. If I had one of these I would have been saved the embarrassment and saved them the trouble, not to mention the anxiety it caused my hubby.
For keen bush waters I think these two would have to be included in their safety kit. I also think they make great gift ideas for fitness enthusiasts.

It’s amazing how much the world embraces water bottles these days. You see them everywhere and in many different environments. I really like that you shared with us some of the different places these are useful. I typically use one at the office, one at home, and a 3rd one when I go to the gym. After reading your post I think I’ll have to add a few more to my collection!

As an avid outdoors man of 6’5″ and 280lbs I go through a lot of water! I really liked the GRAYL Ultralight ! It looks like the ticket for what I do and the amount of water I consume ! Being able to fill up on the go is a great option !

I am usually gone from home for most of the day (8-10 hrs.) and just hate it when after a few hours my water bottle has let me down and only offers warm water to drink.

These are some pretty decent water bottles ad there are many interesting variants among them. The collapsible water bottle has attracted my interest very much. It’s a great alternative to compact solutions!!
I also didn’t know that there were bottles with fruit infusers!! It can definitely make a change in your water intake. Some great stuff you have here!!
