The most advanced golf laser rangefinder in the world.
The Bushnell Tour X Rangefinder is claimed to be of the most advanced golf laser rangefinder in the world. At least they say so in the commercial. But hey, it is actually a pretty awesome and helpful tool.
By looking into the 6x magnifying device and locked onto the flag, it precisely gives you information on distance and angles to the next hole.

Depending on the lighting conditions you can see the information in either red or black.

Changing the golf club grip is necessary when they are old or worn. The feeling of doing your own regripping is great, and not as difficult as you might think. You end up with a “new” golf club which is easier to handle, with a lighter grip and without fear of losing the club in a swing.
As a rule of thumb, you should change grip once a year.

When you buy your first system you get 4 dozen Radar balls in the package along with the Handheld Tracking device, Carrying case, and Manuals. The starter kit is available on Amazon. Check in to see the latest price and or if there are any discounts.

Andreas
What a great list of gadgets to help improve a golf game. I’m not an avid golfer but I do get out and lose some golf balls a few times a year. 😉 I’m particularly intested in anything that can help improve my swing, particularly with a driver, so the Plane Trainer is probably something I will check out. I also like the thought of a night round of golf.
Thanks for the reviews.
I agree with you that the Perfect Release Golf Club Swing Plane Trainer Aid at 16 is an interesting product and it will definitely help you improve your swing. I also like the Game-inglove Golf Training Aid on number 15. Difficult to decide which one is the best really.

Andreas,
Very good list of golf gadgets. You have several swing analyzers that will help those that cannot hit the ball straight, like me.
The tracking device for the golf balls seems a little high. I don’t mind loosing a few, I only get them on the clearance rack.
John
Hi John! I agree with you. 😉 The tracking gadget might be for specially interested people, and I guess you get a lot of golf balls for the price of the device. But I still think it is a fun golf gadget and a good idea.
Andreas

May I share my story to choose Golf swing analyzers
A common mistake made by amateur golfers is choosing golf clubs that are not suited to their swing speed. If you do not match your clubs to your abilities to swing them, it can have an adverse effect on your game. Club factors that should be adjusted based on how fast you swing a club include the shaft flex, torque and the type of shaft. By taking the time to find the right clubs for your game, you can best leverage your golf equipment to improve your game.
Step 1
Determine your swing speed. Many golf retail stores and pro shops can take this measurement. Otherwise, the speed can be estimated based on the club that you hit from a distance of 150 yards. If you use a 3-iron or wood, your swing speed is probably less than 60 mph; a 4-iron is 60-75 mph; a 5-iron is 75-84 mph; a 6- or 7-iron is 84-93 mph; and an 8- or 9-iron is over 93 mph.
Step 2
Determine the shaft flex of your clubs based on your swing speed. The shaft flex is representative of how much force is required for the shaft to transfer energy to the golf ball during your swing. Ladies flex should be used for a swing speed of less than 60 mph, senior flex for 60-75 mph, regular flex for 75-84 mph, stiff flex for 84-93 mph, and extra-stiff flex for speeds above 93 mph. Choosing the wrong shaft flex can lead to hooked, sliced or generally inaccurate shots.
Step 3
Pick a material for the shafts of your irons. The two most common options are graphite and steel. Players with a slow swing speed normally will choose a graphite shaft to maximize the distance the ball travels, while those with a fast swing will choose steel for greater consistency. If your swing speed is moderate, test clubs of each type to determine which feels the best. The majority of modern fairway woods and drivers are sold with graphite shafts and should be chosen based on the information provided in Step 2.
Step 4
Choose the clubhead for your irons. Low-handicap players will prefer half-cavity or blade clubheads for greater consistency and control, while high-handicap players should opt for full-cavity clubs to aid in getting the ball in the air consistently. A half- or full-cavity golf clubhead has a hollowed-out area toward the back to distribute weight around the clubhead, creating a larger “sweet spot.” Blade clubheads have more weight around the face of the club.
Step 5
Test the clubs you have chosen before purchasing them. If you do not like the feel of the clubs, pick a different manufacturer with the same configuration options before changing the shaft flex, material or clubhead variant.
Hi! Thanks for your story! Great information for people wanting to buy swing analyzers.
Andreas
I am favoriting your site. I think the new technology and innovation we have is great! It really helps to make our daily task alto easier. As a sports fan I love these . Very interesting the one who gives you your distance to the hole etc that is almost like having a caddy I suppose.
But do you think too much technology can be a problem. Especially in our sports in which we like to remember them the old fashioned way?
Hi! I’m so happy you are favoriting my site. Glad you like it! I work hard, so my sports gadget site is appreciated and useful to people.
I guess people need a bit of time to get used to sports gadgets, but in many ways, they can keep track of things you need to write down or figuring out anyway. And even if people have trackers, sensors or training gadgets they still have to perform the sports themselves. If the don’t have a golf playing robot. 😉
Andreas
This is an awesome article about 24 cool golf gadgets. This list you gave about improving the the golf team is awesome and i think it really helps to improve the game.Am not a golf player ut i like watching it.Thank you for your new technology on how to play this game.

Jose
Thanks for your comment Jose. 🙂 Always a pleasure.
The best list I seen for assessing the latest golf tech.
One thing I came across…are these “psychological coaching headphones” on your radar to review? I have heard some good things about them but would be great to hear your take on them.
Cheers.
I will check them out. 🙂
I have 2 ideas for golf gadgets that I think golfers would appreciate. They are not learning aids but things that would help on the course and at home/office. I am seeking someone who would like to license the ideas and pursue marketing them. Can you give me any leads?
Amazing post for any golfer, these gadgets definitely help the golfer in many ways. I think the best gadget is the golf GPS watches. Those are a game changer for me, I feel much more confident knowing I have the right yardage and club in my hand.
Those watches have significantly improved my game!
I review the hottest and latest golf products. check out my site: http://www.golfreviewer.net appreciate it!
Hi Andreas,
I like the idea of the golf swing analyzer. Years ago I paid a lot of money for golf lessons and we never had anything like this back then.
Maybe if we had, I could’ve saved myself a few quid. Some really good gadgets and gear here. The Garmin GPS watch is really cool too. These must come pre-programmed with golf course?
Hi! I’m glad you found some cool golf gadgets here. 🙂 Yes, they come with pre-installed golf courses. Andreas
Everything looks really great here for a person who loves golf. Actually, my husband loves to golf and he’s always trying to guess how far he has to hit the ball to make the hole. His birthday is coming up soon I’m very interested in buying the GOLFBUDDY VOICE GPS. Really interesting to see how far off he is from what he says. Thanks for the great reviews
Hi Jagi! That’s a great idea. 🙂 Let me know if you gave him the present and how it worked out. 🙂
Andreas
Great list of gadgets!
I think the next time I play with my old man I’ll have to use the “Radar Golf System”, it may stop some suspect play out of the rough from occurring I think.
Do you know how hard it is to set up? I’m guessing that it would involve some sort of programing for each new ball.
Hi! Thanks for the comment and the interest in my list over cool golf gadgets. The Radar Golf System is fairly easy to set up. You have to use the golf balls that come with the radar system. You get a dozen golfballs in the package and it is always possible to buy more. There is a microchip inside which is placed there during manufacturing.
Andreas 🙂
Wow, what a list of gadgets. Back when I played a lot there was none of these things. I have to say they are really cool if your into this type of thing. I’m more of a purist I guess since I learned to play without this stuff ,But if I could shave off some strokes on my game I might be convinced to buy some of the cool looking golf tools. I could see how they could be helpful.
Thanks for the comment Kevin. Great to hear from a former golfer that these gadgets and tools could be of use. Let me know if you start up again or if you buy any golf gadgets. 🙂 Andreas
Hi Andreas, awesome list of golf products. I have literally spent my entire life trying to figure out the game of golf and so far still trying……sounds familiar for many I’m sure. I really like the idea of the GolfBuddy Voice GPS and the Radar Golf System, but when you take into consideration how bad my golf game actually is….well there might not be enough technology in the entire universe that could help me. I enjoyed reading your article and will a little more closely at some of these products. Cheers!
Hi, Mark! I enjoyed reading your comment. 🙂 I’m not a particularly great golfer myself, but I love these gadgets and what they can do. Let me know if you decided to try out one of the gadgets and how it worked out. Andreas
How cool.. I didn’t know they even made over half of these! My girlfriend use to work at a golf course and would love this. I love the swing analyzer… I’m sure many pros use it for more of the specifics but that is one I would have fun with myself. Great stuff, really good gift ideas.. thank you for this list!
Thanks for the comment, Jen. Glad you liked the golf gadget list. 🙂 Andreas
Great list!
I recently tried the VC Golf headphones by FX-Sport. They are sport headphones with a built in mp3 player, preloaded with hours of coaching, mainly with regards to the psychological [messages play over your own music]. Drills for the driving range and around the green are on there, as well as golf flexibility tests, psychological warm ups, podcasts…it goes on. One of the coaches is Zach Johnson’s psychological coach. It also has a huge no. of non golf related workouts preloaded with real trainers. Definitely a very unusual product which I found surprisingly beneficial. Maybe worth a look for your future lists…
Thanks for the advice! Cool headphones for golfing. I will remember them when I update the list. Andreas
I have not yet played a lot of golf, but want to get more into it. Some great ideas for equipment here. I must say that for a beginnger as me some of them seem a bit too high tech for now:-)
But I tend to lose wuite a few balls when playing as a beginnger, so the golf ball GPS tracker sounds pretty cool.
Also I will have a closer look at the release club trainer as I think I will help my swing.
Thanks,
Mikael
Hi! Training gadgets are perfect if you are new to golfing. Would love to hear how it goes and if you bought any of the golf gadgets. Andreas

Hi!
Love all these products, I’m actually in the market for a new driver myself and the m1 has been at the top of my list for a while now. Might have to test it out somewhere and then just buy it so I stop thinking about it! Haha
Have you ever used the glow in the dark balls? I’m curious to see how well they work. I’d golf all night if they worked well!
Let me know what you think I’m the balls!
Hi! Haven’t tested them yet. 🙂 Would love to hear any experience with them. Andreas
These are incredible super high tech gadgets. I can’t believe they have swing analyzers and adjustments right on the driver as shown like that. Ridiculous indeed. Always wanted on of those putt practice devices when I was a kid. Still cool device. And these seem affordable that you picked out!

Hello Andreas, thanks for letting me know about the 24 best golf gadgets to purchase for a golf game. I have never played golf before, but I have always wanted to. I would pick the Glowgear Glowing Golf Balls, if I were to golf at night, they would be a great help in finding them in the dark. I would also purchase the Grassroots Par 3 Putting Green Mat, it would be nice for my house and to practice my skills also. And finally, I would get the Game-Inglove Golf Training Aid since I have never played the sport before and want to learn how to play. Thanks again for the long list, much appreciated!!!
Thanks for letting me know you found the article interesting. 🙂 Many of these gadgets are perfect for first time players. Andreas
Awesome sharing! I’m glad I found your article in time as I was researching around for things to give my dad for his birthday this coming April. My dad is a golf enthusiast and will definitely love any gifts related to golf. You have provided a comprehensive list on cool golf gadgets and accessories and I’m thinking of getting the Perfect Release Golf Club Swing Plane Trainer Aid. Thanks a lot for your great help, keep it up!
Thanks Kenny! Glad you found my article useful. Hope you find a useful gift for your father. Andreas
Hey There, I absolutely loved your website, it is awesome and you really have a great sense for cool gadgets. I especially liked the ZEPP GOLF 3D SWING ANALYZER. I am a physics enthousiast and I love devices that tell me the stats about my swing. I should definitely get one of these for my rounds of golf next summer!
Great advice and cool page, thank you!
Thanks! I love the Swing Analyzer myself. 🙂 Andreas
I grew up taking golf lessons and always approaching things the old, simple way. I had no idea golf had so many high-tech gadgetries to enhance your experience. I think the rangefinder is so useful! Almost cheating I feel like! But really cool to know the distance and angles to the next hole. These are all so cool – who needs a private coach when you can get a swing analyzer or a training aid. There are so many ways to practice off the green, just in your yard or at home. With the gadgets used during play, would it be considered cheating to use helpful technology when competing? Just curious. Thanks!
Hi! Thanks for the comment. I suppose there are rules for using training gadgets when competing. At least those gadgets that give you some sort of advantage is probably not allowed. Golf sports watches for instance is ok I guess. Maybe someone else have a good answer here? Andreas
Hi Andreas,
All I can say is WOW! What a beautiful list of golf gadgets!
I don’t know much about golf, but my husband does. He plays really nice. Soon, it is going to be his birthday, and I want to buy him a nice and useful present. It’s hard to choose because all the gadgets look fantastic!
Some of them I really like. For example, the Zepp Golf 3D Swing Analyzer, the Glowgear Glowing Golf Balls, and the Garmin Approach watch are on my bucket list. I hesitate between them, but I think I’ll go for the watch and the balls too. My husband loves to play in the dark with his friends:) Is it possible to change a product if for any reasons something isn’t right, or my husband don’t like it?
Thank you for this excellent post!
Hi! Thanks for the comment. Glad you found so many products you liked. Almost every online store have the possibility to return a product if you, or your husband, don’t like it, Amazon too. So just try. 🙂 Andreas
